Westholme ‘Plates for Good’ Initative

Enjoy our special Westholme Wagyu at The Butler this month and help give back to the hospitality industry.

Over the next few weeks, we have teamed up with Westholme Australia to offer a special Westholme wagyu, with 50% of the cost of every dish ordered donated back to our staff who have been affected by impact of COVID-19.

According to the ABS, “The impact of COVID has had huge impacts on the hospitality industry – with over 78% of food service businesses having been adversely affected and 43% of venues having to stand down or let go staff”. While the easing of restrictions in NSW, has allowed us to reopen our doors, there is still a long way to go for the Hospitality industry and every bit counts.

Our Head Chef Amber Doig has whipped up an impressive Adobo rubbed Westholme Wagyu rump cap +6-7 F1 with a Huitlacoche habanero vinaigrette, that will be available for $52 over the next month. Thanks to the support of Westholme Australia, 50% of the cost of every wagyu special sold will go into the pockets of our staff who were not eligible for JobKeeper.

Book in for lunch or dinner and whilst you’ll be enjoying some of the best Australian beef, the hospitality community will benefit too.

About Westholme:

Westholme are a leading producer of premium Australian beef, based in Queensland & the Northern Territory. Their philosophy is all about being wild and free, eager for adventure and sharing a unique Australian experience.

Westholme pride themselves on their unique process in raising their cattle. The herd are born wild, brought up on native grasses for the first two years and then finished on a blend of high quality grains that they craft themselves. There is approximately four years between paddock & plate.

The reason for this process is that grass fed cattle tend to have leaner beef full of flavour but feeding cattle grain creates marbling throughout the cut. Therefore Westholme have combined the best of both worlds to produce their signature tender & juicy steak, MBS 6-7+. The unique flavour and texture is what differentiates their premium product from the crowd, bringing “an authentic flavour profile that is uniquely Australian”.
