The Butler is a contemporary Mexican restaurant located in a part of Potts Point that still feels hidden and untouched. Surrounded by colonial style heritage buildings, stepping through the doors and down the stairs where the restaurant opens up to a light filled terrace, feels like stepping into the Mexico City neighbourhoods of Polanco and Roma Norte.

The menu is created by Chef Amber Doig who blends her distinctive style of Mexican flavours and techniques with Pacific influences and incredible local produce, taking you on a culinary journey.

It’s not just the food and drinks that make The Butler so special. Our warm, attentive service and inviting ambience set the scene for a wonderful afternoon, where good conversations flow as freely as the drinks.

Our Incredible Menu

Chef Amber Doig has designed our Long Lunch menu to include all of the highlights from The Butler’s menu.

Designed to share, it includes a mix of light and fresh salads and sides like tuna tartare, heirloom tomatoes and empanadas. A long-standing Butler favourite Lamb Barbacoa is the show-stopping main, serves with sumac onions, fresh cucumbers and house- made salsa.

The menu is designed for groups of 6-14 people and can be adapted to accomodate a range of dietary requirements.
